Candidates and
observers should arrive on time and be properly dressed.
Collared shirts and dress slacks are the minimum
acceptable attire; shirt and tie are preferred.
No jeans, shorts or T-shirts. Cell phones and pagers
must be turned off.
Candidates should not
attend the degree alone. Financial Secretaries should
accompany the candidates if possible to present the dues
card.
This is the last
First Degree Exemplification prior to the 2nd/3rd degree
exemplifications to be held in the same location 27
March. Councils are requested to submit RSVPs for the
First Degree by 10 March 2010.
Councils are reminded
that they must provide a rosary, dues card, lapel pin,
and booklet “These Men They Call Knights” for each
candidate. Councils should bring their own
constitutional roll for signature.

The 2010 Annual Past Grand
Knights Dinner will be at the Golden Tea Restaurant located at
the Monterey Airport (upstairs). The event begins at
6:00pm on Saturday, March 13th. Dinner cost is
$30.00/person with menu choices of: NY Steak, Prime Rib, Halibut
or Sand Dabs. Come eat, drink and pay tribute to our Past Grand
Knights for all they've done and endured for the sake of our
council!

pay for their degree. A sponsor, or other member of the
council, should accompany individuals from each council
and pay for all fees and meals, usually from council
funds. There will not be a ladies program.

Monterey Council's Annual
Parking Lot Sale is scheduled for Saturday, April 24th, 2010
at the Knights of San Carlos Building at 462 Webster St. in
Monterey. Set-up begins at 6:00am and the event will
conclude at 12:00pm. Last year we raised a lot of money for the
mentally disabled. Because the charities have been hit so hard
by the recession, they need our help more than ever. We will
begin collecting items such as bikes, clothing, furniture,
appliances, carpet, tools, books, shoes, baby toys, baby items,
etc. Last year we had the most amazing support from our Knights
and local parish.
